Why Does my gray water tank have water ?

Another dumb question
I’m ready to take my tab out for its maiden voyage this week. I filled the holding tank with some water at home just to make sure everything was working. I flushed just once and ran the sink for maybe 10 sec. just to practice I opened the gray water valve and water just kept coming and coming. Way more than I used.

I'd repeat the process again and compare results. there may have been water already in the gray water tank. I assume the gray water did eventually stop indicating the tank was empty.

Nope, mine was winterized with air. Going to try again and see what happens. Wierd.Was hoping there was some unknown valve I didn’t know about

@Tater
When you say "maiden voyage" I assume you recently purchased your TAB? Did you winterize it or did the dealer just tell you it had been winterized. It is possible that the dealer ran water into the gray tank and overlooked draining it as part of the winterization process? -
If this was your maiden voyage, is it possible the water in the grey tank was from a dealer inspection or walk-through?2018 T@B CS-S Towed by 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5i in the wilds of Minnesota

It’s possible but it was wintetized. I was there when they did it. I will see this weekend when I drain everything and refill again. Thanks all2019 320S Boondock Edge

Barring a major leak of some sort, there are only four openings to the gray tank; the sink drain, the shower drain, the hooded exterior vent, and the dump valve.As Sharon_is _SAM suggested above, a properly winterized trailer will have a bit of antifreeze in the tank from when the traps are filled, but it should be much less than the quantity you are describing. If I had to guess I'd say Falcon1970 is right about somebody filling the tank and forgetting to drain it...2015 T@B Max S (320)

@Tater , maybe the trailer was not level when originally drained, and you had the tongue lower when you drained it?
