Keder rail on my 2015 T@B 320

Good morning!

I just picked up my 2015 T@B 320 last week and realized last night why the PahaQue awning and tent room have never been used. The pics will show why and I'm wondering, can I snip some of the rail so I can thread either the awning or tent room onto it? I can't get more than 1/8" into it now. Is there another option?

If I do cut some of it away, does it need to be as much as what's shown in the second pic (taken from the PahaQue video)? I have tin snips and a small enough file that I think I can smooth the edges but, I have to say, it makes me a bit nervous to do this.

All thoughts and suggestions welcomed! Thank you!

You shouldn't have to cut it, just take pliers and spread out/bend the rail on one side about 4 inches.  Ours isn't at the very end of the rail, it's maybe 6 or so inches from the end.

As Tampakayaker mentioned - just create a flared gap about 2 inches above the screw to allow entry of the rope.

Check out this thread.  Shows how to spread the rail.

Also, our flared/bent spot is at the back of the trailer, not the front.  Did you look back there?

Excellent! Thank you, everyone! I didn't like the snipping idea, which is why I brought it here! The link to the video got me to a page with similar questions, but no video. I read those responses (I swear I searched first, but didn't see that thread 😕) and know what to do. Thanks again!!

Ah! The open channel was at the rear, and my awning is on! Thank you for your help! Now...does anyone want to trade a turquoise and grey awning for my yellow and grey PahaQue?? Maybe there's a thread for that....
