JWM22 will not turn off - Resolved

Our T@B 400 BD came equipped with a Jensen JWM22 "mobile audio system". Within a half-hour of its initial power up it failed. In particular, after tuning in to a radio station then pressing the power button to turn it off the radio continued to play. So I opened an issue with ASA Electronics and sent it back to be tested.

They returned it to me saying it tested just fine. So I reinstalled it and the continuous play remained. The only way to turn it off is to turn off the trailer's battery. Not an acceptable solution.

I was concerned that perhaps the device was getting too high a voltage, but it measured out to 14VDC, well within the device's 10 - 16 VDC specs.

Has anyone else experienced a similar failure? Or had any success getting a replacement item from ASA?

Thanks for listening.

I noticed mine doesn't turn off, either. The screen can give the appearance of being off and you can in fact power it off, but if I am inside and play music or a video on my phone, it still comes through the speakers.

Turns out the beastie has a zombie state! To turn it off one has to hold down the on/off button for a second or so. Once it displays the time it's off. Of course, unless you've already set the time, it will read 'AM 1200'.
