Tall clamshell, short wife...

I thought I saw someone's idea for aiding a vertically challenged spouse to close the clamshell, but search is failing me.  Any clever / artistic ideas, before I just braid some paracord?  Thanks!

Short step or install a flush mounted handle on the inside of the hatch that drops open when the hatch opens.

Here’s how I close the shell on my pickup. This has lasted 2 years and will probably last 5 or 6 more.  I put the carabiner on the end so it will swing out to me. This should work on the inside of your latch handle, just be sure to swing it back inside so it doesn’t drag on the ground.

(I don’t expect you guys to use an IU one, but it works for me! )
