Alde system

This is an Alde question. When boondocking, we have two batteries that we switch out each morning with each other, in order to re-charge (with our Renogy solar panels) the battery that has been in use. The system seems to work well. HOWEVER, we have noticed that our Alde gets "cranky" and sometimes does not heat the water as it should AND/OR sounds like it is continually running and exhausting HOT air out by the burner AND/OR, is draining glycol. We wonder if the problem is that we something is somehow related to our switching over of batteries??? FYI, we had not had issues with the Alde system before we started the switching of batteries, although we had only used our 2021 Tab 320S several times.

What elevation are you at when this happens and are you on LPG or AC?

The battery is a "distractor". Without knowing your Alde setup, it could just be making the proper settings for the pump speed, or air in the glycol lines, or, as suggested elevation, etc.

Why do you feel the need to switch out the battery each day? Do they really get that low? (Not a bad strategy...just wondering!)

Yes, we did decide that we should shut off the Alde before switching batteries. We also considered may altitude, especially since our last trip was at about 4800 ft.

As for switching out the batteries, we just feel then that we will have no issues with power. And, charging with our Renegy portable panels is pretty easy to do.

That's several different issues with the Alde that at first glance seem unrelated to the battery switching, or even to each other.

Can you elaborate on these problems you are having?
