Outside Shower Replacement-2017 320S

I have to replace my entire outside shower unit (broken part) and have one on order from NuCamp via my dealer. It’s really a “plug and play” unit and I dislike paying for service if I can do it myself. I also don’t want to damage the Azdel by doing it myself. I would imagine that there needs to be some sort of sealant involved. Has anyone here done this, and how did it go? Thanks!

Any outdoor sealant or chalk will work. I use 3M 4200, because that's what I have around. Any RV or marine store will have something. If you prefer the existing grey, check an RV store. You should consider replacing the stiff white shower hose with a more flexible one. It will be easier on the area that failed.
It's easy to replace. Just gently scrap off the old sealant with a putty knife, unscrew the old unit, move the hoses to new unit and re-install and reseal. Make sure the pump is off before starting.

@Horigan thanks for this information! I almost never use it, but it needs to be functional.

I too had to replace my unit. I did the same as @Horigan. I used Geocel 2810V Pro Flex (White) RV Flexible Sealant. It was purchase on Amazon and has held up well the last couple years.2019 Tab 320 CSS, 2019 Ranger TV, OH

@Slackers how difficult was it to remove the unit? It’s still winterized, probably until late March or April, so no issues with water in the lines. I hate the thought of paying for labor if I can do it myself. Thanks for your input!2017 T@B 320 Max S silver and cherry red, L@dybug ("Bug" aka my esc@pe pod), TV 2015 Toyota Highlander aka Big Red

I used a plastic putty knife to remove the caulking. I used the blade flat against the wall and then flat against the shower box enclosure. Don't go after it like a horror movie villain. After that effort and the removal of screws the box could be pushed out from the inside. I used rubbing alcohol to clean up the residue. In general just slowly work through the process.
Also as @Horigan notes above attach the hoses to the new box before tightening down the screws and sealing with caulk.2019 Tab 320 CSS, 2019 Ranger TV, OH -
Not sure but if you have the Fontana outdoor shower box you might consider making it more useful and less prone to leaks with an inexpensive mod as I and others have done:

The link above at a minumum will give you a good idea on what's involved to remove and replace the shower box. Just four screws once the sealant is removed.Rich2019 T@b 400

As Horigan suggested, the hard white hose is a pain. I replaced it with a regular flexible shower hose. Also, you can takeoff the sprayer. It has a very small entry hole for water. Opening it up to 1/4in makes it work so much better.2018 320CS-S
