Can I remove my Air8 filter by myself for cleaning? TAB 320 S boondock

Hi, all:  Below is a picture from Paul the Air Force Guy of what I think is the filter cover for the Air8 filter in my TAB 320 S.  Can I remove this by myself?  It looks a little intimidating, and there seem to be some screws at the bottom of the cover.  I'd like to check the filter and perhaps clean it by myself.  Thanks so much.

  • Thanks to both of you!
  • @MuttonChops Do you recall how hard it was to lift out the hose assembly.  On my 320css it is very tight and since it seems to be some type of styrofoam I'm reluctent to pry too much.  Thanks.

Sorry, I have no direct experience with the Air8 unit.
Hopefully, another forum member can assist you.

  • Hi,

In my '21 with the Air 8, the air hose plenum is not removed.  There is a snap on grill in the front.  Then there is a mesh pre-filter and behind that is a filter that looks like a car cabin filter.  I just cleaned mine after moderate use of 3 years.  The mesh filter was rather dirty, but the pleated filter was mostly clean.  I vaccumed both clean and reinstalled.
