Background:

2020 Tab400 Boondock Lite

has stock 24v solar

I've performed the 'relocated converter' of the https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/13889/insufficient-charging-wire-size#latest

haven't otherwise messed with electrical

converter circuit breaker off

inverter is off at remote switch

battery switch is off

parked on asphalt in storage-unit lot for months - daily trickle and vampire power seems reasonable

not connected

Observation:

Lying on my back the ground under trailer re-attaching the bottom insulation and I notice tingling sensation when I touch the frame and brake housing. (and tire)

DC voltage: frame to me measures zero.

AC voltage reads 30 and it's reduced when I'm lying on the yoga mat.

I don't currently have better ground than lying on the ground.

Question:

Any thoughts why could be an AC current to earth?

I just figured it out - it’s under high voltage transmission lines.

Interesting. Just the other day I saw something about putting a metal fence near high voltage transmission lines to scavenge power. Can't be anything purpose built but fences are ok.

More typically AC to ground happens when hot and neutral are reversed at the power socket.

If the observed "current to ground" disappears when you disconnect the trailer from the AC hook up, then it is the reversed ground problem Grumpy_G describes. Otherwise, I suppose it could be the power lines effect...?
