Roof Vent Fan Cover

None of my paperwork was clear as to which model vent fan we have on a 2023 T@B 400. Called Nucamp and they said it was a fantastic fan model 2250. This was in order to get a rain cover for the fan. I looked that model up on line and it didn't match what my feeble old brain remembered seeing on the roof? So I went over to the camper and checked - the model number is only visible from the top with the vent open, lol. It is a DV 1450. Not sure if nucamp just drops in whatever they have laying around? Anyhow, dometic makes a fan cover that fits it and snaps directly on to the little ears on the sides of the fan. I ordered one and will update this thread when I install it -- should be thursday or friday.

    This is the one that fit our 1400 series fan. Pretty easy install.

    We went with a Camco brand cover on our old 320 and it was a PITA to install, requiring drilling new mount holes in the cover, etc. It was not set up for the Dometic tabs.

    @RTWCTS - that is the one I ordered from amazon. should be in thursday. I'll update with the install; taking the T@B to my son's wedding for folks to sleep in if they happen to over-imbibe, lol.

    I’m interested in adding a vent cover as well. It looks easy. I expect I’ll have to get on the roof to install the cover. How much load can the roof carry.  I’m about 180# and we have a 2021 Tab400.

    to be clear, i've never got on the roof - save leaning far over from a ladder.

    Don't get on the roof. Lean over from the side. They're not made to hold the weight of a person.

    I installed mine from a ladder too, albeit quite the reach on the driver's side on our 2023 @happytogo.

    You can get on the roof if you make two wedges with big towels and then put a board on the towel wedges.  The key is distributing the load.
