T@B 320 covers and mildew

So we're all excited to be bringing home our T@B but storage is on our mind. Ideal option would be in the back yard, but we have an oak tree which drops leaves and sheds pollen. Eventually we may erect a permanent cover out there but I was also looking at a cover like the all pro. However, I live in the hottest and humidest place in the US and I worry about mold and mildew if it sits a few months. I'm aware of Damp-rid, but I'm worried that having a sack over this thing is asking for trouble. Does anyone use these? Is mold and mildew an issue with my rolling cottage? How do people avoid this.

I keep this running inside when stored (assuming you have shore power)

The only shore power I have would be a regular house plug. Can you use that? I thought it was limited use only unless you got an actual RV plug put in.

Perfect, just use this to plug in:

I wonder if securing pool noodles on the roof under the cover would increase air flow and reduce mildew risk. Worth a try.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio -
@HappyCamper2024 You can use the "dogbone" adapter that Jbajor posted to use a home circuit on your trailer's 30 amp cord and receptacle. It will provide "shore power" to the trailer, but you will be limited in the amount of power you can use. A 15 amp circuit will run the Alde on the 1Kw setting, but not the 2KW setting, since the Alde on 2KW can use 16 amps. So, there are issues with running "big power" items, and you need to work things like that out. A small de-humidifier should work, just check closely the number of "watts" it might need to run. Anything below 1000 watts would be the place to start.I would also suggest a decent "hygrometer". Measuring the actual "humidity" is better than guessing, and the little thermometers you can buy for this purpose can be either decent or awful.I have a little tool like this. (Yes, I'm a temperature and wet bulb geek!) There are many things like this.

I use one of these Govee hygrometer/thermometers in the interior. I have other units with no display in the refrigerator, tongue box (outside conditions) and our cooler. App has current conditions, history and alarm set points. Pretty inexpensive IMO.

I run the Air8 in dry mode all summer and a small heater set ~50 degrees during winter and cold & damp shoulder season weather. When stored, I leave all cabinets open and bench tops off. Cushions are stored in a spare bedroom of our home. No mold or mildew issues in 14 years.

Best to take the cushions out as rfuss noted. The vinyl on the back retains moisture when stored on the wood benches.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

We have a tab 320 Boondock. We bought this cover from AmazonIt's not a super tight fit and it goes all the way over the jack top. It does blow a little bit but it has never scratched our camper. We live in St. Louis Missouri and it's always humid as h*ck Here.We leave our Three window windows in open lock. We leave the roof vent cracked a half an inch.We use no other dehumidifiers and have never had an issue. We don't remove the seat cushions. We don't do anything. We close and lock the door.
but we do use our camper at least once a month or at least every two months. We don't camp much in the summer because we hate the heat. I guess if you're going to let it sit you might need to do something differently.2019 Custom T@B 320 U Boondock Lite-ish
