Another hot water question!

2018 Tab 400: fire up the alde system-lower desired heat way below ambient-elec at 2, gas is on-deck service menu, glycol and sanitary temp ambient. No Hot Water!
Turn desired heat above ambient-circulation flow starts-elec and gas same settings-flow circulation is indicated-service menu indicates glycol and sanitary above 100: Hot water!
doesn’t last long due to possible mixer thingy issue, still sussing that out-problem for another day.
why no hot generated with heat off??

How long did you wait for the glycol temp to rise?Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

Usually takes about 20-30 minutes.

Is the Alde set to gas or electric priority? Not sure if this matters.
Is the Alde pump set to Therm? You want to avoid continuous as that will reduce hot water temp.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio -
@Garrit, If the glycol is heating/hot then the Alde tank water must also be heating/hot.
If the glycol is not heating then the Alde (heat source) is not turned on.
My Guess for the failure you outlined:
With Electric set to '2', propane in stand-by and No Cabin Heat Requested; no hot water.
When Cabin Heat is Requested the glycol/water was heating/hot.
So the Adle Electric heaters are not turning on. When Cabin Heat is requested the Adle knows it
has no 120VAC and switches to propane.
Unknown is why the Adle has or thinks it has no 120VAC.'18 320 S, pitched axle, 3020HE; PNW basedTV: '17 Colorado V6 Z71 4x4, Tow Package, GM Brake Controller

Is the Alde plugged in under the bench?Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

Has to be plugged in for the control panel to work,
will check the fuses! -
@ Garrit, I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the Alde panel relies on 12V power (either from the battery, or via the converter), but 120V AC is required for the electric heating elements, so I too would recommend confirming that the 120V AC plug is securely attached.
Is the electric plug icon visible on the Alde control panel screen?2019 T@B 320 S Boondock Lite; 2025 Toyota Tundra CrewMax 4x4

The control panel can run off your battery as it does while Boondocking. And if your Alde is unplugged, it will run on propane.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

Picture of the power plug for the Alde in the Alde compartment. If this plug is not secure, there can be no 120V power getting to the Alde electric heating elements.

The electric icon is present on the control panel.

Have you adjusted your thermostat? Check it against a known temperature and adjust it in the control panel. Other than this, it makes no sense that you would get hot water when the glycol is circulating versus stationary. Indeed the water should be less hot when the glycol is circulating.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

@Garrit The operation issue you describe still sounds like a 120VAC issue.
Things to consider doing:
1] Do a hard reset of ALDE by turning ALDE off at the control panel, setting the battery
cut-off switch to Off and shore power disconnected.
Wait 3-5 minutes, reconnect shore power (battery optional), turn on ALDE and do your
Hot Water only test.
2] Turn Off the Propane Gas at the Control Panel. Force the ALDE into electric only mode.
Now do your Cabin Heat Requested test. With the propane set to off the ALDE should not
automatically switch to gas . . . . if the electric heaters aren't working (as suspected) then
the glycol will not heat. {or you may get a useful error message}
3] Listen to the main boiler PCB relays ( maybe a two person job )
Start with Control Panel Electric at '0' Off and Propane at Off.
Switch Electric to '1' and then to '2'
In maybe possible (ALDE service manual suggests it is) to hear the 120VAC Heater Relays Click On
At Electric '1' two of the relays will activate, at Electric '2' the third relay will activate.
If no clicking is heard - - - - possible Boiler PCB needs replacement.'18 320 S, pitched axle, 3020HE; PNW basedTV: '17 Colorado V6 Z71 4x4, Tow Package, GM Brake Controller

Muttonchops;
I will give your suggestions a shot, the only problem in my storage area I have to use a generator for “shore power”.
however I will try.
thanks
