Furrion outdoor grill will not light - Ultimate Toys CS-S - Solved

2023 Tab 320 CS-S. This outdoor grill is such a nuisance.  It’s only successfully lit once.  There’s no separate pilot button.  It’s all built in to one button that you press and turn, but it seems not to work.  Have no problem with gas lighting the Dometic burners on the inside - only the back.  Any advice?

    Welcome to the Forums!
The "quick connect" propane outlet has some quirks as far as whether or not the propane device has its own regulator or not.
Look over this thread to start and there will be better explanations than I can give.

And, here is a general search about the propane port with more info.

You have to determine if the stove you want to use has its own internal regulator. The external propane supply to the stove from the camper is already regulated at the tank, so you cannot have a second regulator. That results in insufficient pressure and could be causing your problem.  I was not able to find a stove that I liked that did not already have a built-in regulator. My solution was to put a t split connector at the propane tank. One leg of that goes into the camper as normal, but the other attaches to an unregulated flexible gas line that we can quickly hook up to the outside stove when we want to use it.

I think the OP has an Ultimate Toys CS-S with the Furrion grill installed in the rear kitchen.  The extra LPG port is not a factor.
My UT has the Dometic stove inside and in the rear.  I have no experience with the Furrion grill.

Ah yes, I think you are 💯% correct. And by the looks of (what I assume to be) that grill online, it may not have its own regulator. The one I saw just looked like a hose barb connection. So perhaps another issue...  Maybe check the spark gap on the piezo starter? Good luck

You hit the nail on the head. Thank you for the sound advice! This is my first time successfully posting on the forum so I am still navigating it. I will add to the title!

Hi Jbing, I have the same trailer. I use the furrion grill and find that for the first use it takes several tries to get it to light as the air needs to get purged out of the gas line running to the back.  Will it light using an external lighter?  Lastly, there is an electrically operated safety valve  on the gas line to the furrion.  This is controlled by a switch on the strut of the rear hatch.  This ensures that if burner is left on it will not leak gas when hatch is closed. Valve, switch, or wiring could be defective if you are, in fact, getting no gas to furrion.  Jordan

Hi jbajor!  This weekend it finally worked for me!  I believe I hadn’t purged enough air out of the line.  Had such a great time entertaining on it.  Worked perfectly! Was able to sear off a couple chuck roasts on it!  Thanks for the tips.  Hope you’re enjoying your CS-S.  As a first time camper it’s opened up a new world for me!
