Careful - door latch loosens up!

A reminder to folks, that the door latch has been known to jam the door shut, with it unable to be opened without a locksmith (sometimes with the trailer occupied! argh!)

It might be caused by the latch loosening up in the door, in the way that I found the screw holding our latch in had backed itself out.

It just might have made the door stick shut, if the screw'd come out much farther. Don't really know, and don't really want to find out!

Tightened it up and secured it with a dab of LocTite.

Just an FYI...

Good point as I found that mine had loosened up too a few weeks back.  Thanks for sharing Chan!

Before bedding down, please locate the emergency exits at the rear of the cabin.  :-)

Or only use the window marked "emergency exit" only!    =)

Isn't Chan the one who locked himself in the shower a few months ago?

    Thanks for the support, TerryV6.

Noooo OutbackAZ, it was simply my imagination that locked itself in the 'head'! I have a bad habit of trying to be ready for any situation (takes up too much energy, honestly B-)

C'mon now, have you no imagination? It would be really hard to get out of that bathroom if you were trapped in there! I'm thinking that an emergency phone in the bathroom should be standard equipment! Someone should suggest it to LG.

Mine hasn't come loose... but it sticks pretty badly.  Almost feels like it's locked & you got to pull fairly hard and it kind of pops open.  Possibly a squirt of WD-40 will loosen a bit but I haven't had the chance to try yet.  Is this happening to anyone else?

MrAmazon, see if you can see the place it's rubbing (look for a wear mark on there). It sounds more like it's binding, and wd-40 wouldn't fix that for long.

2016 model would still be under warranty.

After a glass of whiskey and a look around, I discovered I was also one screw short of a tight latch!
