What to put in the Storage above windows?

So what is everyone using this storage space for? It seems like you could only use it for small items like soft drinks or water bottles.

Careful, there's black holes in those shelves. I might have one of Jenn's usb cords that appeared in mine!2017 820R Retro Toy Hauler from 2015 Tabitha T@B from 2009 Reverse LG Teardrop (but a T@Bluver at heart)

I cut some peg board and inserted it into the shelf. I then purchased some peg board baskets and now we have room to store not only more things, but bigger things also.

Lil_Lucy, Looks good. One question though, how did you keep the peg board standing straight up?2016 T@B MAX S-aka: WolfT@B

Two little pieces of wood attached to the bottom of the peg board. If everything is cut to the right length and width, you just have to insert it at an angle towards the back of your T@b and it drops right in and stands on its own.ericnliz said:Lil_Lucy, Looks good. That's a really good idea @Lil_Lucy. I'm not a big fan of the black net that ours came with - it almost encourages everything to fall over.

We have an Outback so we have the netting. Thermocell, binoculars, camera, air horn for bears (they like to dance to it), iPod & speaker on door side. DVDs, books, on other side.'17 Outback S - TV 2016 Chevy Colorado in "Colorful Colorado"

Stationary I would hope. Anything, and I mean anything left there during transport finds its way to the floor afterwards!
-
Wizard - The stuff I have in there... On door side - Computer & iPad cases, maps, bluetooth speaker, guitar interface, extra computer mouse ... On drivers side - Rulers, pencils/pens, etc ... all stay in place while traveling. Rarely have anything bounce out.
-
I leave cups in the center cabinet; misc electrical - speaker cables and batteries charger right, and misc. coffee making things on the right - drip thing, filters and grounds in the left. Mose importantly than what is in there, I have never had an issue with things falling out. Not sure why others have had issues.
-
I'm not sure why things won't stay. I've tried DVDs, books, and maps, but they always fly out. Pens and batteries stay though. Maybe since they're sitting loosely and not packed tight? Perhaps a small pillow to hold things tight? I'll try that next trip.

I don't leave things in the storage areas over the windows when we're moving. Based on other mishaps we've had, I think stuff would be all over the place when we arrived at camp.John and Henrietta, Late 2016 T@B S Max in Western New York

Photomom - All depends on what you put there - The passenger side holds things better as it is deeper. The drivers side is pretty shallow.

Not enough to hold them still. None of my maps came out because they are in there tight.2021 T@b 320 Boondock "Mattie Ross" | 2021 T@b Nights: 239 | Total nights in a T@b 455 | 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland | T@b owner since 2014
