New Tow Vehicle!

Traded in my 2010 Subaru Forester for a 2014 Honda Ridgeline today.  I pick it up tomorrow!  I'm really excited because now I'll be able to carry things like my dutch oven and bicycles.  I was literally within 200 lbs of the limit on my Subaru, without gear.  This will be safer and I'll feel much more confident towing with it. Plus, it matches the T@B. That's important, right? ;)  It will also enable me to move the spare tire out from underneath the T@B and mount it on the tongue.  That way I can actually get to it if I need it.

The new ones (2016 and later) are awesome and very expensive, unfortunately.

I always liked the look of those. If I recall correctly, it comes with a built in tonneau style cover for the bed?

I think you can get a cover, but they don't seem to be standard.  It does have the hidden trunk-like space underneath the floor of the truck bed.

Have two friends with Ridgelines (each their second) - Both with retracktable covers.
The only thing I don't like about them is that slopped sidewall - Being short, I can't reach over and grab anything, have to climb in.

I did the same!  Towed for the first six seasons with a Jeep Liberty.  No longer commute for work, and Jeep had over 150k miles, so I bought a 2016 RAM in December.  I'm anxious to get stuff out of the T@B and into the truck bed.  Hauling wet stuff was always a problem.

Great choice!  We have a 6 cylinder RAV 4.  I keep talking truck ( I had 3 small ones back in the day) and my wishlist has narrowed to the Ridgeline and Tacoma.  I'm just waiting for a windfall.  I suffer from sticker shock when I go looking.

I looked at both, but liked the Honda more.  The price was better and I've got a friend who has 600,000 km on his.  Plus, it is really roomy in the cab and the back seats are comfy.

Not sure of the Ridgeline, but the reason I didn't go with the Tacoma was the bed was made of composite material. Dunno what the Ridgeline is made of.

The Ridgeline has the "trunk" space underneath the truck bed.  It does seem to be made of a composite material.
