It's the earlier part of the thread (above February 4), that causes the page to reload. I have to assume it's one of the photos. I have experienced this once or twice before on other sites. It's one of the new "features" since iOS 8.

Works fine on my iPhone 6+.  There seems to be a mobile version (but it can be switched to the full version on screen.)

I do have an older iPad. Generation 2 I believe. Maybe it's the Canadian version of the iOS that's the problem.  ;) Anyways, not a biggie, just something I have noticed.

Camping in Big Sur the last couple of days.  Absolutely stunning weather, 75 degrees and crystal clear views of the Pacific Ocean.

SusanB & Rad - Where exactly in Big Sur did you take those shots? I might be going that way shortly. Am currently not that far away and my schedule got changed so have time for a nice little side trip.

We were in Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. I think Susan was in  a private campground just north of where we were.  The "to die" for camp ground is 20 miles south, Kirk Creek.  We will be there again in June.

Let me know when you are in the area, I will ride my motorcycle down and say hi.

Rad - Are they busy this time of the year? I've only found a couple in my 4+ months to be pretty full and have only been skunked once.

The State Park and Kirk Creek will be almost impossible to get as a drive up.  You can of course check availability and book on line if you know the dates. Also, there is no chance of hook ups.

The private one Susan was at has hook ups and there may be more chance of getting one day of.  You might want to call them and see what they say.

Some pics from BLM land west of Lone Pine,CA - The Alabama Hills...
This is the area where hundreds of western movies were filmed (How the West Was Won, etc) as well as many of the western TV series (Lone Ranger, Cisco Kid, Gunsmoke, etc). The main road is even called "Movie Road"
    ----------
I found a spot that only a T@B could really sit nice and level in, way up high overlooking everything.
See if you can spot the T@B in the pic.

PXLated! Any issues pulling on that road? Regular T@B any improvements to suspension?

Larry - No problems, no mods - Some of the roads are rough and some real tight hairpins through the rocks but the set going back to where I was are pretty good. Just have to kind of pick and choose which of the many to take. Or unhook and go explore first.

East Point FLA, across the bay from St. George Island where all seafood is fresh off the docks.    Fishing is great and Apalachicola is just a short drive.

ChanW - Where is the Ghost Ranch specifically?

Specifically... On US 84 north of Santa Fe, just past Abiquiu Reservoir. On the Rio Chama.

It's the scenic area made famous by Georgia O'Keeffe's amazing New Mexico paintings.

Previously, the impression I'd had with her paintings was that she took "artistic license" with her extreme rich colors of the hills and the cliffs and the mountains. But when you come into that country, you can see that her colors were a pretty accurate representation. Amazing.

The Ghost Ranch is now an artist refuge kind of place, commercial, offering artist-oriented programs, courses, and lectures, etc, with a museum, housing, a dining hall, and a campground. And they also emphasize the history of the area in many ways.

There are hiking trails, and the hikes are amazing. One goes up to a chimney rock formation, another to the top of a mesa.

There's a state park down the road, on the reservoir, and BLM land on the river.

We camped just below the dam on BLM land, and then went up to Ghost Ranch to check it out. Their campground wasn't open for the season yet, but they let us camp there at the 'no hookups' rate ($20/nite). Then we could use the dining hall for a cheap breakfast.

    Highly recommended area!
