What’s on your device? What apps do you love and can’t live without for your trips either planning or for security, cooking or finding camping spots, weather, repairs, shopping or Boondocking. Whatever you think others might benefit from. I’d love to see suggestions here and then turn I can turn it into a list for the files. I don’t want to be married to my phone once we get to our destination but I sure appreciate good information before hand. Thanks!

For Android, I love Backcountry Navigator. For 10 bucks you get USGS topos for the entire US. For day hikes or short backpack trips I just use the phone now instead of a designated GPS. You can download maps to the device so you can use without cell service.

I use a Victron battery monitor and solar controller and I love the app for monitoring both!

There is a fun app that is free today called Knots 3D that teaches 126 knots.

We use Allstays but UltimateCG may be better for Forest Service sites here in the west.

I think I know half of them, partially by untangling headphones and untangling a 30' dog lead. Tis amazing how many interesting knots are created by just setting those down.
