What is this thing?

I just returned from a local 2 night stay at a state park for our first trip in the T@B.  
Everything went fine, but I noticed something, and I have no clue what it is.  In the clamshell galley, 2016 CS-S, there is a black, round thing between the 120 outlet, and the 12 power outlet. (that is why I put this question in this category) It has what appears to be a lens in it?  Maybe a light detector?  Any ideas?

    My trailer does not have that.  I also don't have a TV / media system.

    Thus, my best guess is that it is a receiver for the remote control signal.  Cover it up, and see if you can still adjust your audio volume as a check.

    @gymcoachdon , we have a 2017 CS and a television in the back. I do not recall seeing that in our trailer. No guesses from me what that is.

    Hard to tell from your pics, but if it’s a plug there might be wiring behind it to add USB ports. It’s the right size and location for another outlet cover. Although @Travelin3D ‘s theory is pretty good, too!

    I seem to remember that it has to do with the Jenson, and I can’t remember if it is for the remote control or the speakers......the T@G’s had it when they first came out.....

    Basically, it seems to be a remote control "extender."  You can operate the Jensen without the remote having to be in line of sight to the Jensen unit.

    That’s correct...it’s a remote eye that operates the Jenson from the outside with the remote control.   That way you can adjust the Jenson volume without getting up and going inside the T@B.

    I was pretty sure someone was watching me...
    I stood outside the clamshell galley, and powered up the Jensen with the remote.  Then I turned up the volume using the remote.  Everything worked fine.  Then I covered the NSA camera with my thumb, and tried to turn down the volume.  Of course, it still worked perfectly.
    I am pretty sure that is its intended function, I will try again with tape, or another person, from farther away, and see what my results are.
