roof molding separation...what to use?

Hello,
I have a new t@b 400 and the molding is peeling back.  What should I use to secure it back into place?  I searched the internet and heard bad things about using silicone.  Someone mentioned Dicor Self Sealing Leveling Lap sealant...I am new to all of this and have no idea what to use.

    I have had the same container for a couple of years, just in case it is needed, and thankfully, it has not been needed, yet.
