Just out of the blue the Alde is giving this error message. Have read several of the discussions here about this, and one of the first things mentioned is to disconnect the 12v power supply for 10 minutes or so. However, I can't find this circuit board. The following link shows a photo of this unit, but this photo does not…
If it's not the hidden fuses on top of the Alde itself, it could be the thermal fuse on the circuit board. I keep a jumper 12 gauge wire and alligator clips to clip around that one in an emergency. Easy to make one at a hardware store
That is the exact same configuration as my unit. The only user-serviceable fuse is the one in the green holder (bottom arrow in your photo). The green portion of the holder that is attached to the Alde does not come out. The red thing is some type of electronic component permanently attached to the circuit board. Not sure…
I hate to throw this in. When ours suddenly stopped working and fuses were checked as ok, it was diagnosed as the main circuit board that needed replacing. Camping World was able to work with Alde America to replace it. I hope that isn't it!
@NissaB I was hoping that simple room sensor or the "system reset" would work. I don't thing this issue has ever been reported. Most of the simple Alde error messages can be cleared by: turning off the Alde, unplugging from shore power, and then turning off the battery switch. Once the 12V power has been removed, the…
We brought our 2015 T@B, with a non-functioning Alde, to Bob Scott RV in Grand Junction in early October while on an extended trip. They accommodated us in their schedule which we appreciated. Their diagnosis, which was later confirmed by the Thuma/Alde facility in Elkhart, Indiana, was that our circuit board needed to be…
I'm really surprised the Alde engineers decided on this approach instead on putting non-volatile RAM on the circuit board to store the settings! In any case, if you have this be sure not to leave the batteries in for long periods of disuse, to prevent them leaking and ruining the contacts.
@morey000, I worked with tech@nucamprv.com and tech support at Alde on the phone to determine what was wrong with mine. Due to a lack of available time for more trouble shooting, I ended up taking the 400 to nüCamp’s repair shop and they replaced the main circuit board.
I'd change out the digital thermostat control panel as I've seen them go bad and replaced one myself. But agree with the Alde tech as it is one of the three that's defective and since the circuit board was replaced and the problem reoccurred I'd be inclined to believe it's the thermostat panel.
I had an issue with the Alde screen that I believe was caused by mice. The screen turned on, but the touchscreen was non-functional. I tried all sorts of fixes from this forum, then took apart the Alde control. I found that the 4-lead ribbon cable from the circuit board to the screen had a couple of breaks (chews?) in it.…
