Oh today is exciting - my RvLock, WeBoost, and DuroMax dual fuel generator showed up.. and I picked up the JetPack yesterday. Tomorrow I pick up the RV then I GET TO SPEND ALL WEEKEND INSTALLING THINGS!!! I am such a nerd... this makes me so happy.
We have a 2021 Tab320 Boondock - bought a Champion 2500W dual fuel portable inverter generator... using with propane... it is enough power to run AC when off grid... without installing any 'soft start' apparatus... Just a FYI since we originally thought a soft start was needed, and the only info I could find online was…
@tcassem The 2200 watt honda generators (or similar sized others) operate the current models of Coolcat in the 400, but with a softstart installed. Otherwise, any 3500 watt class of generator will work just fine - but at the expense of weighing 100lbs. I use a Champion Dual Fuel 2500 on Propane with the SoftStart RV…
Did a quick check on noise levels via the web. Looks like the Champion 3400 is quieter than the Honda 2000. Seems implausible, but could be accurate. I too looked into the dual fuel option with great interest for my Honda 2000. Factors to consider are (1) initial cost of the unit, (2) weight and your ability to move it…
Hi, I'm quite new to the forum.. I'm going to be taking delivery of my 320 S Boondock Edge this weekend.. and have been doing a bunch of research for the stuff I want/need One of my own personal absolute must haves is a generator so I can run the AC when off grid during summer heat/humidity. All relevant "polite neighbor"…
Thanks everyone for the good discussion here. I got excited by the Battle Born 'sale' price, but I think I'll beat on my AGM batteries for now as well. I've got the 12V fridge and that's the only thing I'd like to not run out of power for...but with my solar (and I also have a dual fuel Champion 2500 generator) I'm…
Doing a little research lately. If you are a member of a very popular RV club that partners with a very popular camping retail store, they have marked down the Champion 3500 Dual Fuel, electric start inverter/generator over $300 to basically same price as Honda 2200i. It's a bit heavy (95lbs) but does have wheels and a tow…
@manyman297 Not sure how many people have used both to be able to compare, but I can only tell you that the SoftStart RV that I installed last month works great. Easy to install, and seems to do the trick with allowing my Champion 2500 Dual Fuel running off propane to power the T@B - although @rhyno reported he had…
I have a Champion 2500. If I had done more research I would have gotten dual fuel. That being said, I have found dealing with gasoline to not be a big problem. I have a 1 gal can that last for 5 days or more at 2 hours per day run time. On the last day I let the gen run run dry, and put what ever gas is left in the can in…
