The trailers that you mention all have a much lower window to interior volume ratio than the T@Bs. Personally I think that this is a pretty big factor. I think that you need to find some way to cut the amount of sunlight beaming into your trailer. In hot weather I think that most of us use window awnings/covers attached…
Wondering if anyone has made their own visor? Instructions/patterns? I know there are patterns & instructions out there for the little awnings that can go on each window, but I'm thinking of the visor, not the full blown Pahaque tent.
Wow - you win the application of theme prize. I love your window awnings (of course, mine are red with polka dots) and yeah, those bloody scratches might be scary! Very cool.
@Susan0214 can you provide an update on your inflatable awning experiences? What are the cons to the clear windows that you allude to? Do you think they’re durable? I’m interested in this awning except for 2 concerns... 5 guy lines seems like a lot of visual distraction (once we hang stuff on them so we don’t get caught),…
You might join the Facebook page (there are several others, too), and check out the window awning photos and instructions. It sounds like something you might like to make. https://www.facebook.com/groups/24931511064/
Tabber John, I didn't see the extra pictures either when I was first looking for tents / awnings. The Walker is a well sealed tent in that configuration. The Walker does not have a floor attached but one is provided (Jolex awning carpet) with the package from the Teardrop Shop. The window panels are vinyl and they do not…
My wife is negotiating on a 2008 DM. Has all interior options for that year with exception of front window. Floorboards are solid (checked wheel well) and body is not damaged. problem are that it needs a window shade, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. It has no awning or ports-potty but for $5k I think we can…
I'll go on record that I LOVE the awning windows and consider them a huge advantage over the sliding windows in most RVs. You can open them right up for light and air and feel like you're outside, and make cute decorative awnings to dress them up. Likewise I LOVE the shade/screen combo and don't consider them a design flaw…
@CincyKid from my own experience, the A/C could keep up until it started to get above 95, outside, by lunch time. But, I found that it cooled very quickly after the sun went down. I have been considering getting some shade cloth for the T@b for those super hot days. Similar to what some of our AZ T@b owners have done with…
The wind has been crazy! I took my window awnings off, the flapping was making me nuts. But way cozier in here than the half flattened tent I saw on my way back from dinner. 😊
