There are four or five screws underneath that also have butyl tape under them. Removing those should allow you to pivot the bumper up and gain access underneath it. I’m not sure how the top is held on. I removed the bottom screws to install a backup camera.
We have a small storage box from Walmart on the tongue for most of our setup stuff.. Chocks go in there too. This is an old photo - we have since replaced the old yellow magnetic antenna balls backup guides with a backup camera & monitor. More info here (inspired by @TerryV6) ..…
Our 2020 came with backup camera. Weird, clunky, extra screen on inside of pickup made its use a "one and done". I found it far easier to navigate backing up using traditional side mirrors. Since it's recommended to travel with no screens pulled, I can see what's behind me while moving through stargazer window. Just…
If you remove the Jensen speakers, you should see a bolt with nut at the far end of the cabinet. I believe this is the bottom bolt holding the Yakima rack to the trailer. This is based on the hole I drilled just up from the bottom bracket when I wired my backup camera to that rack.
Guessing the 4 to 1 ladder rule does not apply ...I installed a backup camera behind my roof vent. A step ladder on the side was all I needed to reach it. I did throw a blanket over the side in case the ladder slipped or I dropped something. I agree with @Sharon_is_SAM .
@Snoblett Now I get it. There have been projects where owners ran power from the junction box on the trailer all the way to things like backup cameras and different rear lights. So, I'm sure it can be done. But, that is way above my pay grade. There will be more responses to this I'm sure.
We pull our t@b 400 with a 2020 Palisade. It pulls so nicely that I barely know I am pulling anything at all. The backup camera that comes standard on the Palisade allows me to see the hitch while backing up which means that I can do it easily by myself.
I'm wiring in a over-the-license-plate backup camera into my 2018 320, I want to hook into the always-on tail lights. What colored wires do I want to hook into ? What's positive, and what's negative? (the leads on the plate light are too small). I know I could hook up the car and just see, but I really don't want to open…
The Jeep GC or Wagoner is a good choice for towing RVs. You get all the bells and whistles, great backup cameras, and rear axle drive that is more stable when towing larger loads. The TaB 320 is small enough for mid size SUVs, but going with a larger TV allows upgrade to the 400 or larger RV... cheers
Does anyone know how to get access to the wire harness behind the license plat on a 2012 PLVA U-layout T@B? I'm studying how to connect a wireless backup camera to the electrical system for power. I'm considering a license plate camera and I want to use it while driving as well as for backing up. I think I can splice it…
