It does act that way. I had it on shore power for at least 30 minutes prior and it has solar so I'd be surprised if it was not charged if working normal. It has 2 6 volt batteries and is only 6 months old. Certainly possible one of them is dead. Thanks for the info.
A bit of background I am an engineer. Did the math and looks like I would need 600 amp hours of battery at 12 volts to run it all night. The inverter would require about 60 Amps to create 6 at 120 volts, roughly. Doable with lithium but about $5k for the battery's. Not worth it So looking for how you guys stay cool while…
We'll be getting our TAB 400 in 2 weeks. It has a lighter birch interior and microwave, as well as two 6-volt batteries. May be something else on the vent system, but I can't recall.
Before spending any money on TV’s or inverters consider just getting two more 6 volt batteries. Not only is the problem of slightly more tv power consumption solved but your dry camping capability will be considerably improved. And if hitch weight is close to being too much your hitch weight will decrease. :). We went…
There’s been a rumor for a couple of years that there will be a larger one, but it’s a rumor until it is fact. 2018 to 2019 T@B 400 changes: The graphics have changed; a built-in microwave option; a Boondock and a Boondock Lite models are available now; two 6 volt AGM batteries with 225 AH, instead of one huge and very…
I have clamshell model with 12 volt refrigerator. I have solar but battery doesn't keep refer running all night. will be installing 2 6 v golf batteries. does anyone know if this will do it to keep refer running all night?
I have the two 6 volt batteries under that black cover thing under the bed. The battery cables are coming out the side of the cover. Now that you mention it, I might have a shorter phone cable somewhere from the "old days" haha
Sorry @jimrj...a little bit more time of reading the manual...it will go by quickly..we had to wait a couple of weeks for our out of stock 6 volt batteries..I feel for ya...so close
@davidden your dual 6 volt batteries are under the bed in a black plastic case, close to the passenger/door side of the 400. I honestly have not looked at mine and I've had mine for over a year.
Victoria, I think Terry was referring to a dual 12VDC house battery setup (common on larger boats and RVs. The TaB400 has two 6-volt batteries which are wired in series to get one 12-volt power source, so acts as a single battery, but a lift more efficiently. A dual house battery setup, normally consists of two separate…
