Hi everyone We are getting ready to travel around Maine and are looking for recommendations. There used to be a fb group that had a state by state listing of campgrounds. Does anyone know that link? Or any recommendations- in particular interested in Portland area, Boothbay, and Acadia. thanks so much
Scusset Beach reservation, Salisbury Beach and Horseneck Beach are three Massachusetts state campgrounds with nice facilities with great ocean access. Looking forward to our next reservations at Schoodic Woods, the newest campground at Acadia NP.
We're heading to Bar Harbor Campground next week. Just wondering if any one else from this forum will be there also. If so, stop in and say "HI" We'll look something like this. Bar Harbor Campground July 2015 Hope to meet a few of you there! Have Fun! Bob
I saw this one while in Acadia National Park recently. I met the owners later and learned they were from Cape Cod. We also saw 3 more while we were there but weren't able to get photos. One at the Desert Island Campground, one on the way up on 95 and one on the way back on 95. T@B's like Maine and especially Acadia, as did…

We recently camped at Mount Desert Campground near Acadia NP and loved it. Only a few sites are T@B friendly so be sure to talk to the office when reserving a site. Chewonki Campground near Wiscasset was very nice too, but pricy. In Vermont we camped at Ft Dummer State Park near Brattleboro. Great campsites, but no water…
Acadia Maine for a week . This was our first "big" trip with our new T@B . 1600 miles roundtrip , and mountains all the way, both ways ! ! Averaged 16mpg with our 3.6 Dodge Caravan . Hoping for better , but it was a pretty grueling the whole way. No problems with the T@B or the TV. Alde Heat/hot water worked perfect (in…
We're headed to Acadia in Maine in the fall. We are staying at one of the campgrounds in the park, so there will be no hook-ups available. There will be water on-site. I was thinking that we'd use the solar panels to keep the battery charged, use the propane whenever possible, and bring some good, warm sleeping bags and a…
