Saw a moose on the highway near Cameron Pass. Here's our T@B and Rav 4 at the Bockman campsite. Great area. Lots of hikes, lots to do and see. Flowers were gorgeous, mountains awesome:)
First trip - 2015 Mellow Yellow T@B, pulled by Rav 4. We stayed one night- at Olive Ridge outside Allenspark, CO. Site #50 is a loop which was super easy for our first trip however, you had to walk up the hill to get to the picnic table and fire pit. Good work out:) You can see the T@B at the bottom of the hill:) We're certainly got our steps in loading, unloading, plus hiking,.... lots of fun and great to get outdoors - we had our masks in case we meet people on the trails but mostly we were on our own or really far from other people! Colorado is working on staying healthy with social distancing, masks, hand washing,... if you come please help us stay healthy by doing the same while you're here:) Thanks:) Photo below.
We are still practicing social distancing as per medical experts advice, but have done a lot of backyard camping and have cautiously done a weekend at a COE campground not far from home. Our backyard campsite:
Good campsite. Great views! Plenty of bird watching. At the COE campground near us:
We've also been sneaking off to the Chippewa River Bottoms for day-camping and adventures. Plenty of muddy, soggy trails, fishing and swimming and picnics. Nary a neighbor to be seen:

We had an unusual break in the June weather (high of 72!), allowing us to slip off for 3 days in the southeast Tennessee mountains - first trip since early November last year. Stayed at a small Forest Service campground close to the Ocoee and Hiwassee Rivers (pictured).
Just got set up for another week along the Mississippi River at Thomson Causeway.
Already have had two visits from former T@b owners (back when made by Thor) and there is a brand new 320 CS Boondock just down the lane, but the owners aren’t there at the moment.
Oh, and there’s a first year Bald Eagle that just landed on a log a couple hundred feet away across the slough. Always a good sign.
Going to be a great week.

May 21, Temple Mountain Rd. area of San Rafael Swell, Utah. After spending a month creating our new Lockdown front-yard Landscaping, was out for 13 days; dumped black & filled water once (at Goblin Valley State Park, paid the entrance fee to use the dump station), never hooked up, never ran out of power. The no-see-ums chased us out of Rabbit Valley to Winter Park, as the first week's temps in the 70s quickly heated to high-90s, which apparently those horrid midge flies took as an opportunity to feast. Those things are wretched.

@b407driver Nicely done, Jeff. Tis' the season for Milky Way imagery. Nothing like sitting out in the middle of nowhere, beverage in hand, watching the galaxy float by and firing off the shutter. Good work.

After two years of looking and considering...finally the proud owner of a 2021 T@B 400 Boondock! 2023 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E with Redarc Trailer Brake Controller
At the end of 6 months into this historic year, we finally got out on the road with our T@B. There were only a couple of non-specific sites left, but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice #5 was here at Shenandoah River State Park VA - in the middle of a loop, but being a tier on a slope with vegetation all around made it feel more private..
It was sunny & close to 90°, unfortunately, but we were lucky to find some shade in one corner at the end of the driveway. It's times like these we're happy we have a T@B that can be easily rotated to the desired angle. Jane's sister lives relatively close to the park, so she finally got her long awaited but socially safe hug from her well prepared sister.. 🥰
After a good laugh, there was plenty of time to catch up (sans bag over head), while waiting for cooler air in the evening to take a walk along the river trail..
It was the perfect day for the people we saw later at this spot tubing down the river..
I still love those solar powered motion- activated lights we hang on the handles next to the door & in front facing the car, in case we need to get something after dark..
Morning fog over the river in the distance..
And the towbar clamp-on bike rack is still working fine..
It's a bit tight while getting hitched up, but fine afterwards. I wish it was about 6 inches taller though. It's been so long since we last went camping that I had forgotten the optimal orientation (i.e., "Which one first & what direction, or does it matter?"). Well, in our case, it does matter, but I came up with this simple pnemonic to help.. 1. Ladies First. 2. Wife is always Right.
We are still hoping to finish our goal this year of staying at every Virginia state park RV campground. So far we've been to 19 in the 3 years that we've had our T@B, with 4 remaining. Two of the remaining ones are at the far East-West ends of the state, one being on the border with KY.

My turn again. Wife and I slipped away to Daingerfield State Park in Northeast Texas for 3 nights. Worked from the T@B trying out our new cell booster and wifi hotspot. Hot and muggy... but hey, we were camping, right?
Also, we had a Red Headed Woodpecker that kept us company for a couple of days, so we decided to adopt it as our official camp mascot! Matches the black/white/red of our our 400 and TV very well. Didn’t get a great picture of it, but it had the most amazing deep red color. Beautiful!
