2021 Tab 400 Wire Diagram?

Greetings all!   I have a Tab400 on order, July delivery, and I'm preparing for a few things I will do when it arrives.

A couple of quick questions:

Is there a wiring diagram from the 2021 Tab400?  I didn't see one in the online owners manual.   And does nuCamp sell a service manual (similar to what a car dealer would use)?

Is the onboard battery charger (from the landine AC power) a 55amp (DC side) charger on the 2021s?  That was mentioned in an excellent thread about the problems with 2020 charger placement, but I wasn't sure if that was a comment about the stock one or an aftermarket one.

@sponaugle - nuCamp only provides an online manual.  No 2021 wiring diagram available from nuCamp.  Did you check the member provided manual here on the forum?  Did you find the “Category” section of the forum?  Lots of resources there.

I'm also a fan of service manuals, but there are none available. I would be surprised is such a thing even existed for a travel trailer as they are typically assembled from a large collection of sourced parts.

That said, there are usually service manuals for individual components such as Aldes, refrigerators, and axles. You will need to go to the individual manufacturers to find them, but very often they are available for free download. Some may even be already posted in the User Manuals... category Sharon alluded to.

And, to address your main question, there is no comprehensive wiring diagram for the 400, but there are some resources here that may be of use. I suspect the wiring schemes are similar across models.

  • Thanks Sharon and Scott!   I'll dig into that section, and once I get my 400 I might be able to contribute a bit as I have done some reasonably complex wiring diagrams in the past.  It is nice to have that factory wiring diagram when working on cars, as they provide such a great system overview, albeit they are typically more complex.   I would guess there are not any CAN busses on a trailer!

    thanks for the references!

That would be great! I've encouraged 400 owners (and owners of newer models) to dive into this task but so far no takers.

You are correct the systems are relatively simple compared to a typical automobile. In contrast to a vehicle, however, campers usually have several systems (120V AC, 12V DC, solar, etc.) all interconnected.

I bet the info for wiring is in the Forums....but it is scattered through so many threads.  There are plenty of electrical threads for wiring trailer movers, troubleshooting various running light issues, etc. Here is one that discusses break away brakes that turns into a nice diagram from Bayliss. I know it is for a 320, but can the 400 basic wiring be that much different?
Here is one with an electric jack install:
