AC cutting off when Alde system is turned on for hot water

We're newbies with our T@B 320 CS-S and are getting ready for a trip out west.  We are in the driveway checking systems and ran into a problem.  The air conditioning is running fine, but when my husband turns on the Alde system to get hot water, the air conditioning cuts off.  We are on 110 power while doing this.  How do you run both at the same time?

You likely need 30 Amps in order to run both from electric at the same time. Switch the Alde to propane and it will likely be fine for your test.

From the Alde FAQ and the manual:

Max draw from 120 V mains is ≈7,9 A on 1 (1 kW) or ≈15,8 A on 2 (2,1 kW)

Not sure what the AC runs, but you are already using 8 amps with the Alde.  Wouldn't take much to trip a 15 Amp breaker from your home.

You need a 30-amp service to run both the Alde and Cool Cat on 120VAC mains.  The power converter is also drawing a load, and the AC and Alde (on 2KW) running together will need 20+ Amps just for these two appliances.  This is why the TaB is setup for 30-amp service. That said, you could run the Alde at 1KW, and the AC together on 20-amp service.

We greatly appreciate you all for responding! The lack of 30 amp service is indeed the culprit.  We're all good and looking forward to heading to Colorado next week!
