I just couldn't tackle the project of moving my battery inside. Here's my solution.
First, I was having a mouse problem where I store my trailer (see the shredded label on the battery), so the lithium battery needed to go into a sealed box, not a conventional battery box. I searched high and low for a box that would fit in the tub, and finally found a plastic file folder box that holds the Group 24 style LiON Energy battery plus the SmartShunt. The box is bolted to the bottom of the tub and I can lock the box with a vinyl coated cable. There is one minor oopsie in the wiring that I need to fix.
Thanks for coming to my rescue @Denny16. I couldn't download the diagram that I had saved to the cloud in preparation. Lesson: always print out a hard copy of your plan.
