Broken "Easy Up" table
Bee
Member Posts: 11
2015 320 with the original much-maligned "Easy Up" table. I usually just leave the bed made while out and about by myself but cleaning up after a 2 week trip, decided to pull the table out and do a thorough clean. While putting the table back - "SPRONG" - a spot weld holding the spring in tension broke. So seldom do I move this table around, I can't quite figure out the mechanism to try and put it back together - much less weld it. Tempted to bag it, put in a Lagun (sp) table and slats but I have another trip coming up and would like to get it fixed. I cannot find any infor or diagrams on how this puzzle works, Ideas or resources from fellow sufferers of the "Easy Up" table??

From a forum search:
“Pulled it forward and up with my foot on the base but had to do it on both sides.”Honestly, these tables are not well loved and many forum members about 7-8 years ago donated them. If you ask, you may find a free replacement!Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio -
Bee I have one in very good condition I'll give you. Like you, we used it occasionally but usually left the bed made. The trailer was "retired" and I no longer need the table. I can take photos of the mechanism if that'll help.

Hi Rfuss 928. Getting another table would be a Godsend. Possibly shipping it to Washington state? I can check how much UPS would be, they would even wrap/box it. Photos would be excellent also!!

Our table broke (I don’t remember where) and I welded it myself. I have a 120volt Lincoln welder. Took maybe 5 minutes. Take it to a local welding shop or ask around who has a little welder. It’ll probably be cheaper than paying for freight to ship one.2016 320 CS-S 1954 Ford F100 2017 Chevy suburban 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500

Thanks for the idea, I will give my local welder a call.

I took some pictures where mine broke. The weld broke free.

If you don't really use the table, you might consider just replacing it with bed slats and reclaiming all that wasted space under the bed. In a pinch, a few slats also make for a pretty nice "coffee" table. :-)
