Dripping Noise

We took our 2015 Tab out for the first time last week and were hearing quite loud dripping noise from behind the AC/Bathroom side wall whenever the Alde radiant heat turned on; is this normal?

What model of T@B do you have?
Sure it isn't the gurgling of the Alde fluid in the reservoir tank? Might want to check that it isn't over flowing.
My tank is in the rear but some models have it more forward as I recall.

Actually it's a 2016 so has the digital Alde panel, possibly still same issue?

Well, the Max-S would have the resevoir in the back. There's an long vert access panel by the drivers side bench that's not hard to remove - Could take a look in there and see if the shower plumbing happens to be leaking. Even though you say it's only when Alde is running.

Thanks all, I will check out the pump speed. Glad in a way to hear that this is not normal, would make owning a Tab not as great. On the other hand I'm bummed to hear it already has an issue.

Here is a link to video of the reservoir which us making the noise:

Note that no fluid is actually flowing from/to the reservoir; should there be?
Does the fluid level look too high?
I changed the pump setting on Alde control panel from '2' to a '1' but no effect.
It's loud enough to keep us awake so hoping to resolve it.

That gurgling just sounds normal to me.
I noticed it when I first got the T@B but after a short period, the brain declared it background noise and filtered it from my consciousness like most other ordinary sounds.

This is a common issue with the Alde.  To quite the gurgling sound, add more fluid to the reseviour. It makes more noise when the fluid is at the "minimum" mark. If still too noisy, then lower the pump speed. There are a TON of threads on this topic.  Too bad the search function is weak.

Mine must have done that, as well.

Amazing how the brain saves our sanity.
Can you imagine if you were conscious of every single thing you heard, saw, smelled, touched - would all be inane. Thank god for subconscious filtering.

I've suggested this in other threads - get some sound dampening insulation and wrap the tank.

I have two friends, married, who both wear earplugs to bed every night. They both snore and with the earplugs they are no longer grouchy when they get up in the morning. Sometimes, if you can't get past the noise, you have to make changes to put up with the noise. The Alde is a great furnace, as opposed to no furnace last winter in my teardrop when wintering in AZ.

And that gurgle is a lot quieter than a furnace fan.

Welcome to my world of jack-up senses. While I can normally filter out constant noises, there are certain frequencies that play havoc with me and start migraines. Same with lighting. I deal as best as I can with resources available for me. I have a white noise machine that works on batteries that has been a life-saver for sleep. It even drowns out the snoring old cat and dog (but not me ;) ). Don't even start me on taste, texture and smell. Avoidance is mah middle name!

So the white noise machine works? Would it work for filtering out a snoring partner - My sister inlaw wants to know. They're thinking of a camper but my brother may still have to tent it if there's no solution :-)

There's a volume control on my noise machine. Depends how loud said H snores. My Dad can shake windows when he snores. Light to medium snoring that is not pressed up against SIL ear? I'd say it would work on the "waterfall" noise setting. It sounds like a box fan noise. Avoid the noise machines that mimic birds and such. When the power goes out, mine defaults to birds. One morning, I swear I was going to make those stupid chirping birds pay outside my window at 5 am until I sleepily realized my noise machine was the source. lol. Birds were free to chirp later that day.

My three brothers snore unbelievably loudly. You can hear my one brother two floors below, with doors closed! Another brother would wake his children, who were sound asleep in their rooms.
