I'm volunteering my services as a dog sitter for those who want to do a factory tour.
Excellent initiative Mona for the good of all. I would the same, and have recently added a portable fenced pen to my load-o-stuff-to-haul-with but, alas, I cannot go this year due to WORK (bleh). Maybe next year...

"UPDATE - May 2, 2017 After conferring with the Village of Sugarcreek, we have determined that we can offer sufficient power to the first 100 registrants for the üCAMP17 event! We know that, given the time of year that the event is being held, there were some concerns over the use of air conditioning units--particularly in the evenings and at night. We have resolved that issue, and the first 100 registrants should have no issue using an air conditioning unit in their teardrop (or similarly sized) camper.
We will also be providing water lines to each camper and offering at least one pumping throughout the week, and we will make showers and toilets available at the venue to campers as well."

I am really looking forward to this event! Looks like we will have great covered spaces for our get-togethers. I spent some time in the Sugarcreek area last year and had a great time. My question: Will there be picnic tables at the campsites? I haven't noticed any in the pictures other than in the large covered building. Just planning my gear Thanks for answering all our questions, Mike & Verna!
@SharonK, I do not have an answer for the picnic table question. If you have time, you might call the campground, and post the answer here, please. If there aren't tables at each site, I'll bet we can always improvise!

I spoke with Jan @ Sugarcreek about picnic tables. There are approximately 80 tables in the 2 shelters and dispersed around the campground; however, they are not at each campsite. She said we could move tables from the shelters to campsites as long as we left enough in the shelters for our activities. I will bring my table just in case there are not enough to go around
Photomom, if you go to the signup page, and click "register", you will be able to see how many sites are available.

I called nuCamp and the receptionist said only about 48 have signed up so far. When you get to the Eventbrite register page you can see how many spaces are left - 165 as of this writing. Out of 200 total. So it appears there are a number of spaces left that will provide utilities. So DH is willing to go and we are signed up. Need to decide about bringing Max.

I see that there is a geocache at Winklepleck Grove Park, and a number of highly favorited geocaches near Sugarcreek. We'll be doing a few of those if anyone wants to join us. Which day depends on the weather!

I would love to join you! I have wanted to learn to do this! I have the app downloaded and that's as far as I've gotten. Thanks!
@Photomom, I, too would love to do this. It has to be early in the am because I tend to get busy with helping, coordinating, etc. Catch me before anyone else drafts me for something!

If anyone wants to join us, download the free Geocaching app by Groundspeak Inc. to your smartphone and create a username and password for yourself. When prompted, enable location services (that's how the app knows how close you are to a geocache.)

Verna, just interested , who's keeping track of the first 100? want to make sure we get electricity as this is our first rally and will still be trying to figure out battery capabilities...

Just to add some additional information about the uCamp 17 rally site and rationale to use Winkkepleck Campground facility:
1. The campground is owned and operated by the City of Sugarcreek. As is common with most municipalities they have s budget and funding is limited and since the campground is primitive, use is also minimal by the public and therefore upgrading the facility isn't their highest priority. I spoke personally with the city engineer and their project courdinator/DPW manager and was told that they do try to upgrade a section of electric pedestals each year as money becomes available.
2. ÑuCamp is committed 100% to this event and owner Joe Mullett understands your concerns and stated that he will do whatever he can to accommodate individual needs. He feels bad that the facility is primitive but said that with the business transitioning this year and with other pressing issues this was the best alternative they had available and that they would continue to explore better alternatives and to improve upon things in the future. This might potentially include/involve purchasing land and installing their own facilities or potentially working with the city and upgrading the Winkkepkeck Campground. Let me just say that Joe is a forward thinking man, he is frustrated with the situation and us working behind the scenes to make things work andeill do everything in his power to make people comfortable and to be the best host he can given the current situation/environment.
3. Airstream has used this park for many years and they have been successful. They do hold their event later in the year but we should be able to pull this one off and make it a success with some planning, patience, understanding and given the plight of ñuCamp and their situation. I've primitive camped in temperatures over 100 F and inasmuch as heat is and can be debilitating, it can be done and there is ample shade in the area and a large covered/shaded gazebo style area that can be used as well.
With the above stated I believe things will work out fine and from past experiences at these types of events I can only say that for those of you who are new to attending a rally this will be a fun event and allow you to meet and make new friends and put a name to a face in forum members you've communicated and read about for many months. Nothing is ever perfec,t but a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to the unknown go along way in overcoming any obstacle you will encounter in life.
I'm looking forward to this event, looking forward to meeting new friends, helping others out as best I can and making this event a positive for everyone and creating more lifetime memories and having fun.
Hope to see you there!

So excited; this will be our first rally with our T@B! We have to bring our pups (Pyrenees and Bassett,) as we won't have a sitter available. Looks like there will be other dogs there, so should be a good time! Any word on if there are planned activities on any certain days?

They do plan to hold some workshops, may have exhibits/demos, etc. There will be some entertainment too. they were working on all of this when I was leaving Sugarcreek about three weeks ago.
