    So when I'm towing, won't batteries be charging via vehicle (7-pin), as well as rooftop solar? So maybe the math is missing that part of the equation?

    Did you consider running the wires inside the colored trim along the corner of roof?  
    That might interfere with a tent/awning, if you're talking about the slotted groove on the door side.

    Most vehicles nowadays barely trickle charge your battery due to smart alternators and inadequate gauge wiring running from alternator/vehicle battery out to the trailer. To get an adequate charge from your tow vehicle, you’ll likely need to add a DC-DC charger into your setup.
