@jkjenn We can't all be old...we need young campers around to help us off our knees after the stabilizers are up :)

I don't pine for old age, just the retirement that goes with it (and the pass, don't forget the pass!). Oh! And Lifetime hunting and fishing license in NC.

To all of you "piners" above wishing for that geezer pass.....  Don't sit around wishing for any of it because it will arrive quicker than you think and you will sit there looking at that yardstick, shaking your head and wondering where the heck it all went!   :o

As one of my old buddies once told me many years back....  "Young people have no perception of time,  as it seems endless and goes on forever and the older you get, the more precious it becomes!"

My motto is pretty simple and I have taken it from my old (and now deceased) neighbor and friend, Cecil Allen, "Every day's a bonus!"   ;)

Well, NC has the Outer Banks and some awesome surf fishing. There are "ok" lakes. Meh. I'd vote for IN for lakes!

My best ever fishing was in a "stocked" pond at a CO ranch I worked on ~ 50 years ago. I know that doesn't count, but the fresh trout for breakfast could not be beat, Near Rocky Mountain NP!

Congrats on your booted state @Ratkity! Hope your cycle trips can be farther now, careful but farther.

Lakes in IN because I’m a resident and can get the Lifetime Fishing permit, while a non-resident can’t ;)

@Ratkity, great news on the shoe-full news ;)
