Battery size

Hey Yinz,
looking to replace my battery. Currently have a group 24. Will a 27 or even a 31 fit.  I have a 2105 320 CSS standard tongue box.

A group 27 box will fit in the standard tub, but it has to sit at an angle and will require extending the platform a bit. There's more information here.

The box I installed is a little bigger than my group 27 battery. Preliminary measurements suggest it may accommodate some group 31s, but I haven't physically tried that yet.

I have a group 31 Firefly carbon foam battery, put into an angled Grp 27 box , literally, wedged into my tub. I had to trim the top lid corner off some so it would have enough clearance to open and close.  So, yes, it can be done. More power!

If you mean just the standard round tub, rather than a full-on battery box, you can fit dual GC6 golf cart batteries in there and strap them down.

Side question.  Are the metal Outback/Boondock tubs larger than the standard colored tub?  Seems like I have a bit more room.  ??
