Underfloor Heating...new discovery...operation?

Recently discovered my TAB 400 Boondock Lite heating menu has an item of Underflooring heating....didn't know this.
So does that mean a portion of my heat comes from under the floor? Must be....yes? Main floor & bathroom?
Also the menu has an option of continuous or delayed (which is adjustable) for the underfloor heating. What does that mean?
Can not find any instructions or directions.
Anyone know more details?

I don’t think it is a standard feature of the 400, but I do know it is a feature of the Alde, as they list the floor mats in their parts catalog. I don’t recall if it is hydronic or electric, but I would bet it’s hydronic.

@Gliddenwoods, I do not own a 400, but I believe the bathroom floor in the 400 is heated. I am not sure if it is/was a standard item, or an option, but it would make sense that you would be able to delay the heating for only those periods that you need it, such as when taking a shower. See this discussion thread for some discussion about the heating in the T@B 400 bathroom.

I have heard the heated bath floor before, if it is, I believe it is residual heat from the glycol piping running though the floor space and not an actual heat radiator.

There is not installed radiators for floor heat although the Alde has support built in.

There is a panel below the shower control knobs (hot/cold knobs). The Alde radiator is behind that panel. There are no radiators in the floor of the shower. There are Alde glycol lines running under the shower floor in order to carry fluid to the radiators in the front of the trailer. The "floor heating" menu item is there for the instances where a coach or van manufacturer installs floor heating. It is non functional on the TAB 400.

Probably an option, just like the alde has a listing for an outdoor temp sensor in one of the menus

Exactly! The Alde system is built for many different uses--not just the TABs. On the plus side, if you are so inclined, you can add a plethora of additional functions and the control panel will handle them all--assuming you install things correctly.

Even though the heat from the shower floor in the 400 isn't from a dedicated in-floor radiator, it's just as effective. Between having a warm floor and warmth from the radiator under the shower faucets, that bathroom feels positively luxurious on a cold morning!

If you remove the panel below the bath door on a 400, you will see a radiator for the bath floor.

I'ts only a short section of fin rad under the shower pan (floor)
