roof top rail damage and repair TAB 400

Removed my T@B 400 cover to clean and prepare for upcoming trip, noticed the black trim railing on the roof was broken at the joint with the next piece, bolt and broken plastic missing. Have emailed NuCamp but looking for advice on how to temporarily cover and protect from rain, we live in Texas and tropical storms/hurricanes may be coming our way. Wonder if Duct tape will be adequate until I can get new part and replace the railing. Looks like the keder rail anchors it and seems simply removing the keder rail and placing the new part should work. Suggestions or experience and filling in knowledge gaps appreciated!

I believe the trim is more cosmetic, and the seam under it is weather sealed. A little tape would provide additional protection, but I would use something like video Gaffer tape over duct tape, which leaves a messy residue if left on very long.

thank you! It seems loose and I wondered how it could truly be water tight..... The only thing I worried about was the bolt "hole" threaded receiver/nut...

Interesting threads. I could not find any updates from NuCamp, does anyone have knowledge of any follow up on possible material changes?

The only change to the railing that I am aware of is the 2021 320s have a different plastic trim with an inset keder rail. These are just available this year, so no real history of their endurance just yet.

According to nüCamp video, the 2021 side/ top seam trim is both the cover and seam seal, and the keeper rail creates part of the seal, under the trim cover. In the previous TaBs the trim was just a cover over the seam seal, and was purely cosmetic. The new trim helps create part of the seam seal.
