Check (Intake) valve for city water sticking?

When I hook up to city water: pressure valve to filter to hose to T@B....I won't get water out of the sink...so I remove hose from T@B, push in on valve(?) that is at city water intake connection, will hear a little pop sound and water will flow from inside faucet....seems like a lot less pressure coming to sink than it used to be. Does it sound like valve (or whatever it is) at city water connection is bad? stuck? needs to be replaced?

Are you in the Mendocino village on city water, or a well?  The water pressure might be a bit low to kick the check valve open?  I am in Casper North, and we are on a well, and GVW noticed when water pressure is low, water seems to effect valve operation.

@Denny16: have you checked you well pressure switch? Factory defaults are usually 50 psi high, 20 or 30psi low, but both can be easily adjusted. You may also have a failing pressure tank(blue tank near pressure switch). If either are suspect, you may want to consider replacing both with a well pump controller. Save electricity & well pump and have constant well pressure. FYI. I replaced mine years ago and am very pleased with the results.

Denny16, I am currently in Georgia. I have had this problem in New York, in Tennessee and now here. Not due to lack of pressure coming from city water connection.

Have you checked your pressure valve before the filter?  Do you have a good flow at the end of the hose before you connect it to the camper fitting?

Thanks 4ncar, problem only happens as pressure drops before pump comes back up.  The domestic water comes from a large storage tank, where water from the well is treated.  The pump system in this is set to 60psi cutoff, but pressure drops to 30psi before pump kicks back on.  This was set as a water and energy saving measure, and to reduce the cycle times on the pump.

The well system is on a well pump Buddy controller system, and we had to replace the well pump and pressure tank about 12 years ago, and relief the well spring box.  So the system is in good kit, just need some more water in the spring box...  :|

Well, you didn’t mention the water filter, that would have been my first suggestion...  Glad you got it sorted.
    cheers

I've never noticed that valve you push at the water connection on the T@B.  Maybe it's got gunk on it and it's sticking.  You could try getting some vinegar in there and letting it soak to clean it.

Have you checked the aerator on the faucet?  May have debris.

There has been some discussion regarding the valve at the city water connection on a 320.  I can’t find it, and I don’t remember the exact issue.  Sorry, not helpful.

@ScottG and @pthomas745, can one of you help?  It appears that I’m not the only one who can’t remember the name of the valve in the water pipes😉

Backflow valve?  Check valve? This thread discusses the issue of the valve being stuck and filling the water tank, but there is more discussion about the filter, a description of the plumbing routing, and details of the Shurflo pump

Here is another that discusses the check valve.
