Thanks for that.  What I'm looking for the admin manual for settings that require the special password (8699).  There are numerous settings there that aren't accessible to normal users, but without some instructions, it's kind of a mine field.

Has anyone figured out how to slow the fan down?  It’s still really loud at low speed. Is the fan motor speed digitally controlled or does it have multiple taps? Anyone thought about adding a PWM controller to slow it down?

@EasternJL : I contacted Josh Elwell at Elwell Corp yesterday and asked him if he could send me a  list of the codes for the functions that can be accessed through the programming interface on the Air8. Here's his response:

    Hi Charlie,

Attached is an image that has the other settings that are changeable in the air8 menu.

We typically recommend not changing the other settings, but there are obvious use cases if you have something specific in mind.

    Thank you,

    Josh Elwell

I will include the image he sent below.

I also asked Josh if it was OK to share his response with this forum and he said "Absolutely! Feel free to share!"

    I hope this is helpful

Has anyone actually reduced the air blower speed?
I am assuming the above chart is referencing the default start up settings and not a way to change the speed of a particular setting...

Digging this thread up, I just got a new 24 320 CSS.  The air 8 on fan on low is like a leaf blower.  With all 3 vents open.  On high it's like a air compressor blow gun.   It's so noisy and windy.  Is there any way to slow down the fan speed?  I'm impressed at how much air this thing Can move.  I just dont think it's needed.  I'd like something more reasonable like what a car vent puts out. Is it possible to adjust the fan speed or is there something wrong with mine.

@mx4789 & @Sledhead1 - As far as I know, MX4789 is right. Setting #9 in the chart above allows you to change the display on the Air8 control panel so that it shows either 1 speed or 3 speeds - Low, Mid, and High. But the speed of the fan at each of those 3 speeds can't be changed.

I agree that it's noisy at all 3 speeds. But if you accidentally set it to just 1 speed - as I did while changing the setting for the continuous fan - it's nice to to be able to set it back to 3 speeds and reduce the noise at least a little by setting it to Low.

FYI, I sent an email to Elwell Corp regarding the fan speed last weekend. I have not heard back from them.  Granted it was to their generic "info @" email address, so I'm not holding my breath.

I find that the AC is much quieter with the vents popped out. I also made a new steerable vent that might be quieter than the standard one which I will use for the top outlet to direct airflow. It's still a work in progress if anyone wants to test it.

I was thinking about some kind of box with an angle built in for underneath the trailer to at least direct the air flow & sound. I downloaded a decibel meter app just to see how loud it is both inside and outside. Of course while camping this weekend the temps are in the 50’s & 60’s so I am not too motivated to fiddle with the AC, lol. Instead it’s been more ‘get familiar with the Alde system’ weekend.
