    We bought a T@B so we wouldn't have to put up and take down tents any more. Hope there was a big group to help!

    We did here as well, but when you are somewhere for a little while it is nice to have a little more space, thus all the discussions of awnings and tents.  Carol's extra space is, indeed, nice.

    @Cyclonic My maiden voyage was an overnight at J&D Campground down the road on my way to NY. Knobels is a charming little park. Knobels looks a little less RV park-like, which is more my style.

    Anti-zombie repellent. These are as effective as those "anti-critter/deer whistles" that are still offered to unsuspecting drivers. :)

    Find the lonely T@B. Bliss for a day. Weekend was packed. KOA in Harper's Ferry, VA. Nice folks and they had the "good" ice cream in their freezer. :)

    Bull Run State Park, VA. There's a water park and shooting range. Lots of activities for kids and families. Park has clean bathrooms and offers cabins too. Some sites are prone to flooding after a heavy rain and rangers are good to relocate you if needed before you set up. Photo taken from across the street while I was being fed and entertained by sister and her BF at their site (complete with roaring campfire). Was a c.cc.cccold weekend (snow flurries and sleet one morning) and the Alde worked great - loved the first time use of upgraded thermostat to the touchscreen version.

    It is and it isn't.  They have 550 sites at the campground, some in the woods, some in the field.  Our's was nicely spaced, but on our last visit we were in a very tight space, it really depends.  If you ever stay, which you should because the amusement park itself is fantastic, I recommend the Bermuda Triangle (this is BT16) area or sites B17 or B19.  The sites are electric only.  They have a lot of tent campers there, and many sites even have platforms to set tents up on.  A lot of large families are groups too, since they don't limit the sites, if you can fit it in your space, you are good.  Also, it is pricey and they do not offer discounts.  We are already reserved for the last weekend in September.

    BTW, Liberty Bell Tearjerkers Chapter also has a gathering there in early September.  We are thinking of doing that too.  That is where we first got the bug for a teardrop trailer.

    There was a big group of ladies on 3 campsites. My big tent is dubbed the party tent. We spent every evening in the tent running our mouths and keeping the bugs away. A couple of the ladies even slept in there. For longer stays, it's nice to have covered/screened room to not be cooped up in the T@B when it rains or the critters start attacking. The inside of the T@B for us is an air conditioned bedroom/changing room :) Spend very little waking hours inside.

    Campfire in a can (where you can put the unit on top of the can, off the floor) is a great addition to a screen tent when the night gets chilly after sundown when the favorite beverages and conversations are flowing.

    I just use one of those tank top heaters on top of a 20 lb propane tank.

    I have the Little Red Campfire and it doesn't sit high enough or on its lid, alas. Still fun to play with!

    @DeeDee, the only thing I would have done differently with that spot was turn the T@B so the door was facing the lake.  Looks like a wonderful spot!
