Jack e up issue?

So I'm trying to install a jack e up on my 2016 Outback and it doesn't fit. The base plate is hitting the bolts on top of the tongue. Any suggestions, do they make a smaller base?

    It isn't a tight fit on my 2015. Based on @PXLated's advice, I used washers as spacers.

    Yep - Mines that way. Seems very unstable looking and everything doesn't match up precisly but once the little wings get the weight on them, everything is solid. Been using mine for 20 months without a problem. Next time I unhook, I'll shoot a pick of how I align them.

    Oh, mine sits on top of those bolts like that also.

    Good to hear, thx PXLated. It did look really unstable and iffy. I'll give it a try again in the AM.

    I installed a Jack E Stand which made it solid.  I had to grind it some so it would fit.
    Tow with a 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport, 2016 T@B CS-S Max

    Has anyone addressed the "issue" with the Kent Madison at the Jackie e up factory?
    When I had raised the issue with him back in February he said to use 3/8 washers to raise it up and get longer bolts. If LG is selling these devices in their store and they do not fit they should provide the washers/bolts so they do ; make a change (expensive) to the tongue area or at least inform people of the problem with the newer T@B's

    John/Kris - LG's not selling THE "Jack-E-Up" as far as I know. They do sell a unit custom made for the T@B, completely different deal. The Jack fits the trailers it was designed for and works on the T@B with the washer addition. I think I was the first to get one way back when they first came out and did the washer thing to fit. Has worked fine but the one LG sells works with no mods.

    Ok I went to the T@B site Store and found the Jack e Up I thought this was connected to LG I guess not then. I assume the one they sell at this site has the problems discussed here.
    Where does one find the one that LG sells for the T@B's w/o using washers?

    John/Kris - Now I'm confused and have to apologize, there is the JackE in the shop - I thought they changed to carrying the jack remover developed by a forum member (poptab?) - Don't see that on there though. Hmmmmmm

    It appears that washers are the only solution for T@B"S In the  Search section washers were also called for now I to am confused guess washers do not reduce strength

    John/Kris - I think I was the first to get the JackE way back when I got my T@B and washers seemed the only solution to raise the JE above the T@B bolts - As long as they're nice solid washers tightened down good, the JE donut is solid. Haven't had a problem with that at all.

    I also use washers with my JEU. Been using it this way over a year and have not had any issues.

    For those that use the JEU verses the one poptab made, I went with poptab as I made the mod for stowing the sewer hose and it looks to me like the JEU might interfere with the opening of the sewer compartment door. I find that sewer compartment to be the most useful mod I have done so far.  I keep all kinds of stuf in there. Those with the JEU will the sewer compartment mod door open and not hit the JEU?     If the custom one by poptab had been available back when I needed one, I'd have gone that way. It's custom designed for the T@B.

    Just to update those of you who are interested in the Removable Jack Plate available at TearDropShop.com, it may say "Sold Out".  I called to inquire and it sounds like they are made to order.  She said it is about a 2 week turn around.   On the webpage, there is a green colored, vertical link on the right side of the page that reads "Email When Available".  You will receive an email when the jack has been made at which point you can place your order.

    For clarification, the removable jack products satisfy two needs-allowing easier removal of the jack wheel and opening some tailgates, right?

    Also allows better ground clearance when going over dips in parking lots or off-road.

    Yes Twograms.  I knew about the problem with the Jeep rear door clearance, but just found out about the clearance problem with the rear hatch of our Toyota Sienna minivan.

    Oh no SAM, I was clarifying the issues for myself-still trying to decide if we should get one. With our small amount of travel, the only time we "scraped" was when we forgot to remove the jack wheel, but I can certainly see how that could be a problem in many scenarios. Thinking harder now. But nothing happens as Curly would say.

    Newfisher - Yes, it was custom designed specifically for T@Bs - I just tried to find it on the Teardrop Shop and couldn't - Could be that things are being switched around now that LG and PV have seperated. You could send Pop-T@b a private message, he makes them up as ordered.

      Here is the link to the teardrop website for the removable Jack plate, it does show that they are sold out. I will contact them today to see if they need to get some on order, I will post an update later today on what I find out.
