Some of us need all the help we can get! Now still, what's the pole for?

@ericnliz It was a campsite pole to hang a lantern on (I guess?).  We used it and a tree for a clothes line for wet kayaking gear. Here is a view in between rapids.

Great view, looks like an excellent spot! Always need somewhere to hang the wet stuff, or lantern! =)

Every COE campground I've been in has a pole - hang lantern, wet gear, catch of the day.

Albuquerque, NM. KOA journey. Super clean and quiet. Especially accommodating and helpful when caught a piece of steel in a rear tire sidewall and had to replace a full set of tires.

@dragonsdofly We had a permanent spot at the Rancho Sedona RV park for a year and a half before we bought our house in Flagstaff. It was with a larger trailer than the T@B.

Fox Fire?  Pretty nice, but expensive...and they put me in a bad spot just because it was small enough to fit.

Had a herd of about sixty of them grazing by me - lots of little ones - amazing how they can just drop off the side and graze the cliff.

PXLated, you posted on another thread, that you were among mountain goats. They are actually bighorn sheep. From your pictures, it seems to be all females with their young.

The males are all off yonder a mile away. I presume they're the ones with the big curly horns.

My wife and I were lucky a few years ago, to observe mountain goats and their young, right along side the Presidential trail at Mt Rushmore.

A funny thing about bighorn sheep, we usually have good luck spotting them in the Blackhills and Badlands area.  But, never have seen them in Rocky Mtn National Park, in a valley they supposedly visit.

Looking at my notes, we put in there for $35 for the night, which is reasonable around here.  Basic pull through spot, we didn't even unhitch.  Indeed, a nice campground, but right next to the highway without having easy access to the highway.  Place was also packed, lots of folks pulled in to get out of the flooding in the Charleston area that weekend.
