Holiday Project - Making a Table Top for My Lagun Mount

Thanks, I'm pretty happy how it turned out. The only thing I would do differently would be to stain the oak frame pieces to a little darker color before gluing it up. to make it pop more, but it's not bad for the first try.

25" X 29"   The table will be used when we make up the bed (I installed rails for the table to rest on), but to keep the weight down I decided not to go with the full size of the old table, and use a slat to fill in where the table leaves off (if I remember right it'll need to be something like 5"X29" I'll let you know once I finished that part of the project). I'll figure out a storage spot for it under the drivers side bench compartment. I'll probably have to make a removable shelf or something over the wiring and plumbing that lives in that space to protect it, and allow me a little more storage space. I think I saw an earlier post where someone had done something similar.

Thank you, no it doesn't, because it can swivel and be easily adjusted. I find it's easier to get in and out of the seats then it was with the original table.

Had to look it up, couldn't remember the name, it's in Port Townsend the name of the store is Edensaw Woods. If you Google it you can find their website.  Not sure if they are milling their own stuff anymore, but if you go and are a wood worker, take a dinner napkin cuz you will drool a lot when looking through their inventory.

Better late than never, I finally finished cutting the bed slats needed to use the table as part of the bed make up. Just in time for the east meets west Washington event at Lincoln Rock next week.
