Great! I will treasure my badge!ericnliz said:Yup, T@B University merit badge! Congrats, and keep havin' fun!
Oh yes! That sounds like tons of fun! I did notice blood on jeans when I was breaking camp and saw that I scratched my arm. Skeeter bit for sure. I used to say no DEET for me. Now I'm all like: bring it on! Double DEET for me!ChanW said:I think there's a merit badge from Tab University, but only if you sweated enough to go through your hat band.
Learning how to take it down in a hurry, before that big thunderhead arrives, with hoardes of hungry mosquitoes nipping at your neck, without losing more than a pint of blood... That covers the next merit badge.
HINT - you can practice that when you get to Assateague NP.
Thanks! It's a crazy tent, in a good way!rfuss928 said:Very nice!! I really like the Thermarest stuff.
Thank you!Homebodyatheart said:Very nice! You "did good!"
Me too! Mosquito fine dining over here. I came within minutes of buying a Thermocell but then thought about all the replacement stuff one has to buy, the pads and fuel cylinders, and it made me wary. I need to reconsider.Homebodyatheart said:Katt, since you are sort of in buying mode, check out Thermocell mosquito repellers. I have not tried them but some here have them and swear by them. Once I run out of deet coils and such I'm going to try one of these. I swear I have "DINE HERE" written on my forehead in mosquito!
