FJ Cruiser to Tow a T@B 320CS-S

I am thinking about purchasing a T@B 320 CS-S and have a 2012 FJ Cruiser. It has a 4700lb towing capacity. Does anyone tow their T@B with a FJ and if so have you had to add anything or does it tow this trailer fairly well? Thanks

    There was an owner on here who did not like the way his/her FJ towed the T@B. If you search for “FJ” in the above search box, you should be able to find their comments.

    Thanks, I took a look and the owner indicated said it tended to fishtail at higher speeds. I appreciate the heads up.

    I can’t answer the question, but the very first time I saw a picture of a T@B it had yellow trim and was being towed by a yellow FJ Cruiser and was owned by a traveling photographer. I was, needless to say, very taken by it and immediately showed the picture to my DH.

    Saying that a T@B is fishtailing behind a FJcruiser is like saying it is also fishtailing behing a 1 ton pick-up truck.  Not enough information and trouble shooting info to make that a fact.

    Fishtailing is always related to weight  (load) repartition and center of gravity.

    A T@B or a T@G behind a FJcruiser would make an awsome set-up if you ask me.  :)

    @TFL2018, the FJ Cruiser owner was towing a Boondock (Outback).  Different center of gravity.  I suspect you will be fine with the CS.

    We have a 2017 Max S and use to tow it with a 2008 FJ. It did tow and handle ok but really drank the gas while towing. Traded it in last year and now tow with a F150.

    Been towing with my 2008 FJ for years. Never had a single problem with the FJ nor with the towing. No add  ons other than Reese tow hitch and Toyota wiring kit which I had to adapt to get the 7-pin receptacle. I do think a transmission oil cooler would be beneficial but I have not yet added one. My gas mileage ranges from 13-16 depending upon terrain.
