Do you have the RF Prodigy? On mine, c means connected. A dot before and after the c means something, but I don't remember. When I brake, the numbers change.
@Trailpixie, we use the Tekonsha Prodigy RF controller as well. Our instructions recommend against using the Boost feature with a trailer the weight of the TaB. Check and see if they have changed the recommendation.
I am posting this in case it helps someone else later. I have a 2017 T@B Q and last week the Prodigy wireless brake controller would not connect to the brakes but was paired to the Blue Tooth Just needed to replace the power fuse in my car that is for the 7 way pin And it connects right away (Title edited for search…
After the recent discussion regarding the Prodigy RF brake controller, Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - Issue noted when towing, I started looking around for possible alternatives. It seemed like the Prodigy P3 was the likely substitute since the hardwire set up would eliminate the brake pulsing…
Agreed. I prefer both not having a permanent install, and still having a handheld manual controller when needed. The Echo is a neat concept, but I feel more comfortable personally with the Prodigy RF.

It looks like the only place I can mount the brake connector box is underneath the BD platform. Directions state that the box should not be covered by anything. I'll of course call Tekonsha on Monday,…
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy RF - however, I hopped out of my truck when this happened, disconnected the brake cord, and it was still locked. Only backing it up a bit and then proceeding forward helped.
That happens more often than you know. Good argument for the Prodigy RF model. We will be towing with a Sienna as well. Good to know it was smooth sailing. What kind of highway speeds with the 15 MPG?
Sqrpeg, in reviewing the Prodigy RF controller mounting instructions on etrailer.com, there was a picture showing the controller preferably mounted on the driver side. Not sure why. It sounds like as long as it is level and the cable faces in the correct direction, it should not matter.
I suspect our Tabs are too light weight to require manual braking using the brake controller. I know our Prodigy RF controller indicates that manual control is not recommended. Those towing with an appropriate TV should require limited braking from the Tab. Our Prodigy was turned up too high as well, resulting in the…
