My knowledge of DC power is limited/non-existent at best. Liam_n_Maggie added two 6 V batteries in a hard case in front of the storage box in front of the T@B. Is it possible to keep the 12 v battery in the storage box and combine it with the two 6 volt batteries for even more battery storage? Thanks
We are super excited to receive our 2019 Clamshell by the end of the month. We ordered it with the solar package and also the boondock (diamond plate) front tub. We have been researching batteries and have some questions I hope some one can help with. We will mostly be boon docking. The dealer said they typically install a…
Thank you T@B Forum for providing very helpful guidance that enabled me to switch my single 12 volt battery in for 2 each 6 volt batteries in a series! I got the 6 volt golf batteries at COSTCO for around $84 each plus a $15 return battery deposit.
Some of the 12V batteries for the 400’s did have defective cells in them. I do not know exactly why the factory chose to start using the two 6 volt batteries, but I have been extremely satisfied with my dual 6 Volt setup for 3 years with my T@B 320, and I am extremely satisfied with the dual 6 Volt battery setup in my 400.…
No, that is NOT right Jenn. The RED wire from your Zamp will go to the + terminal on the LEFT battery and the Black wire will go on the - terminal on the RIGHT battery. That way you will be charging BOTH batteries at 12 volts. The way you have it drawn up you would be putting 12 volts into a 6 volt battery. LOL, and…
I went the two 6 volt golf cart battery route and have been amazed at the capacity reserve they have. I went from 80 amp hours to 230 amp hours for just over $200. Even if you intend to go solar I would highly suggest installing two 6 volts. If you do not go with two 6 volts then don't even bother with a second 12 volt,…
Hi,I am talking to my dealer about the battery they will be putting in my T@B when it arrives. I have been told by most old RV people that two 6 volt (golf cart type) batteries is better than one 12 volt. Something about discharge and charging. Apparently it is the dealer who buys and installs the battery for your T@B.…
Everything I have read says that two 6 volt golf cart type batteries our perform a single 12 volt batterty. Something to keep in mind. I had my dealer, who buys and installs the battery, install 2 (6) volt batteries. Haven't really tested their mettle yet.
