I believe Dexter recommends any lithium complex grease with NLGI 2.0 consistency. These standards are usually clearly marked on grease tubes. I used Lucas red n’ tacky which is slightly more expensive but a tube will last you at least a couple of greasings. Valvoline is also very good.
It's worth shopping around. Last year I got a 10-pack of Mobil 1 Synthetic for $63--which IIRC was a pretty good price per tube at the time. (Of course, now that same 10-pack is $86...).
I figured I'd just buy in bulk so I wouldn't have to ask this same question every time I wanted to add grease or repack my bearings. :-)
Any Lithium Complex grease will work, and is compatible with the factory installed grease. You want the NL GI rating. Lucas Red "N" Tacky is very popular for axle bearings, and is what I've successfully used for many miles now. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lucas-Oil-10005-Red-N-Tacky-Grease-14-oz/36052506
You do not have to use Valvoline, but of course that would work too. Remember to keep the tire spinning while you pump in the grease, and keep pumping grease in until new grease starts to come out. If you're doing it for the first time with the Lucas...you'll have the nice red grease to signal when you're done.
