Small leak under kitchen sink in 2019 t@b 400 BDL

On a trip and last night spotted a small leak under our kitchen sink. Looks like it is coming from where the faucet and the hot/cold hoses connect. I see a number of postings where this has happened and the only real fix is a new faucet. I also have a small drip at the end of what appears to be a sump, connected to the 90 degree pvc that connects directly to the sink.  Not sure exactly but I’m thinking I’ll need a new sump, plus the fittings that go on the end to the down connection that feeds into the gray tank.  Very uncharacteristic of nuCamp parts - when I’ve had to order parts before I’ve called Elsie and she has given the parts numbers and I’ve given those to our local dealer.  Made things quicker but I guess Elsie is no longer with nuCamp and the new person is not as cooperative.  Can anyone tell me what tool I need to remove those hose clamps on the hot/cold hoses and are the clamps reusable?  Finally, has anyone does this repair and could offer advise?

Thank you.  I’ve attached several pictures. First being the connection to the bottom of the faucet.  I think one pic actually captured a drop of water.  The second is to the waterless trap.  The third is to the piping behind the waterless trap when it turns downward.  That white stuff is some sealant I had on hand and so far it’s stopped the leak except under the faucet but that’s only a drip I can manage with a towel.  Thanks for the info on the tool.  From the link it looks like most people replace those clamps with regular hose clamps that can be tightened with a screw driver.  I’m going to see if I can find the waterless trap on Amazon though I have no idea as to size.

I found the replacement waterless trap but sizes or 1 1/2 or 1 1/4 and nuCamp is closed so no idea.  You have any clue?

This is the original Hepvo valve thread that introduced that modification.  Another Dale Helman idea that NuCamp adopted.  I'm not sure on the size, but there should be clues in this thread that includes parts lists.

This may be of some assistance with the leak not related to the Hepvo.

It's a cheap sink faucet that cost nucamp $3, so just spend $100 and put in a real residential faucet, and be done with it.  People don't understand how cheaply built the tabs are, though better built than the other mass produced TVs for on the market, they still are very cheaply built.  Yes, the plywood cabinetry is nice and a few of the other visuals are impressive, but it's an illusion if you have construction knowledge and understand the mechanical aspects.  I have a tab 400 and have replaced a lot of things that lasted a few months to a couple years.  The faucets last a few years and then fall apart.  Just buy a real name brand faucet and it won't leak.

My thoughts exactly but if I could find one that folds down so my wife can keep that glass top I would be all over it.  She likes the glass top as it extends her counter space.  Since you’ve obviously replaced yours, can you share some photos or links of which faucet you purchased?

Yeah, this isn’t as easy as putting a residential faucet in. You’ll have to do some research but I know there are ones that will replace it. The one linked below was one I had in my Amazon list as I was anticipating replacing the Dometic one but I ended up doing a complete overhaul with a residential faucet and bigger sink…a project but well spent the effort.

As far as removing the supply lines, I just used a cutter to take them loose. The plastic nut holding the old faucet was also hard to access but a faucet tool would work best.

The folding sink referenced comes with braided supply lines so two adapters and the hookups are easy with no special tool.

i got the folding sink referenced in the prior comment and it works great. Hope it’s still available.

The sink drain is a Hepvo valve.
