The way I see it...this is why owners are piling up the batteries in the trailers. Why spend so much on dual lithium or 6v's and factory installed solar only to huddle in the dark with your Luci lights because you don't "want to run down the battery"? (This is only partially sarcastic!) If you can build the Keurig that you can add preheated water to, and then it only uses the 12-15 watts to produce coffee........the RV world will beat a path to your trailer door.
PS: there does appear to be a 12v Keurig type coffee maker that only uses 700 watts...but if it takes longer to boil the water, then it would be a wash.
I have a Keurig for my dark hot chocolate, not coffee. While I have a Keurig mini for when I know I will have an electric site in cool weather, but I may leave it at home and keep this Presto My Jo in the T@B. Heat the water on the stove. Put your K-cup in the slot and then pump the heated water through the K-cup and you have hot chocolate, or hot coffee, or whatever you put in there. It doesn’t take any power, except to heat the water.

I use this single serve coffee maker with the inverter. It works great with ground coffee or with K cups. I can make a cup of coffee when stopping for gas...I love it.
So many great ideas! But the question I have is.. can I use a small Keurig while I Boondock?
We have a Keurig press coffee maker. Guess it’s similar to an aero press. Very compact. Put the pod into a holder, screw it onto the bottom of the press which punctures the pod top and bottom. Place it onto the dispenser, pour in your hot water then push down the plunger.
This is similar to what we have but ours presses into a small dispenser. This is probably newer.
A French press by any other name is still a French press. I use a stove top espresso boiler that makes great coffee and stem milk. Clean up is easy, similar to cleaning an old fashioned percolator. cheers

I use a Keurig mini. Works well on the inverter, only draws power when in use. The impact of the pods on the environment is the only downside, oh and cost.

Love this thing. Removed the lid over the water reservoir so I can easily fill it while it sits on the countertop. Be careful not to overfill.
